Account Number for Specific Programs
The account number is necessary for enrolling into TRACS. It links you to the account that you wish to access.

Alberta Indian Tax Exemption (AITE)
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is mentioned in your registration approval letter. Do not include the suffix. (e.g., 15-001).
Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
The account number is the nine- or ten-digit corporate account number (CAN) found on the correspondence issued by TRA. It is also noted on your notice of assessment/reassessment and statement of account.
Fuel tax collectors/remitters
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is mentioned in your registration approval letter. It is also noted on your notice of assessment/reassessment and statement of account.
International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
The account number is the business identification number (BIN) on your IFTA licence and on any correspondence from TRA regarding your account. Enter the account number without the prefix "AB".
Locomotive fuel use
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. It is also noted on your notice of assessment/reassessment and statement of account.
Prescribed Rebate Off-road Percentages (PROP)
The account number is the business identification number (BIN) found on field one of the Prescribed Rebate Off-road Percentages (PROP) Application (AT277) when filing by paper or online when filing through the Internet. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is mentioned in your registration letter.
Propane retailers
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is mentioned in your registration letter. Do not include the suffix "000".
Tax Exempt Fuel Sales (TEFS)
The account number is the business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. Do not include the suffix "000".
Tax Exempt Fuel User (TEFU)
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on your registration letter or field four of the Renewal Application form (AT324).
Tobacco tax collectors
The account number is the nine-digit business identification number (BIN) found on correspondence issued by TRA. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is mentioned in your registration approval letter. It is also noted on your notice of assessment/reassessment and statement of account.
Tourism levy
The account number is the business identification number (BIN) found on field nine of the tourism levy return (AT317). It is also noted on your notice of assessment/reassessment and statement of account. If you are a first-time filer, the BIN is the first nine digits mentioned in your registration letter.
