The Alberta Superintendent of Financial Institutions is responsible for all the financial sector regulatory compliance activities performed by the offices of Financial Sector Regulation and Policy (FSRP).
These activities include receiving, reviewing and approving required filings, and performing examinations of plans or institutions, interpreting legislation, and making recommendations to the Minister of Finance and Enterprise with respect to financial sector policy.
