Alberta Finance and Enterprise offers opportunities for students and recent post-secondary graduates to gain practical work experience through our Internship, Co-op, Work Experience and Summer Student employment programs.
Summer Student Program
Alberta Finance and Enterprise recruits summer students from universities, colleges or technical institutions to fill a variety of positions from May to August. Opportunities are also posted on our Career Opportunities website, at post secondary institution career centres and on the Students and Graduates section on the Government of Alberta job board website.
Co-operative Education Program
Alberta Finance and Enterprise partners with post-secondary institutions to provide meaningful employment experiences to students in co-operative education programs. Students earn salaries and course credits while developing workplace skills related to their career goals. Available co-op positions are advertised at various post-secondary institution career centres.
Work Experience Program
Alberta Finance and Enterprise provides short-term work experience placements to post-secondary students. Students earn course credit and learn valuable employability skills on the job. Placements are initiated by post-secondary institutions and coordinated through Human Resource Services.
Internship Program
The Internship program at Alberta Finance and Enterprise provides recent graduates with opportunities to learn practical work skills to complement their formal education. A recent graduate is defined as someone who has graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last 2 years. Alberta Finance and Enterprise offers the following internship program:
- Budget and Fiscal Planning 24-month Internship Program.
